The upgrade to TrainProgrammer™, +Net / D™, +Net™
and +4DSound™ Version 5.8 is free of charge
for all licensed users of the regarding products.
With regard to a successor of TrainMonitor™
Version 4.7 no decision has been done yet.
Unregistered Use vs. Registered Use
You may use any RAILROAD
& CO. software as an unregistered user
for a limited period of time without any charge. This gives you the
opportunity
to try the software thoroughly before spending money.
Unregistered use does not restrict the
functionality of TrainController™
or TrainMonitor™ with
the
following exception:
The unregistered
software closes the
connection
to your model railroad around 15 minutes after program start. After 30
days of actual use
changes cannot longer be saved to the layout file. Days without usage
of the software do not count as days of actual use. There
are
no other functional restrictions.
The following restriction applies, if TrainProgrammer™
is used without registration:
The unregistered
software only allows writing
of decoder values for the "freeware" decoder, which provides a
restricted
set of configuration variables only. This means that only a restricted
number of configuration variables can be written into the decoder, if
the
software is used without registration. Reading of configuration
variables
is not restricted.
The registered use of each
RAILROAD & CO. program
is enabled with the license code, which you receive after paying the
license fee. You only need the license code to change from
unregistered
to registered use. Especially there is no further difference in the
software
and therefore no need to download and install the RAILROAD &
CO. program again.
Note, that the possession of a code, that removes the limitations of
unregistered use, is not equivalent to the right to use the software
(license). More detailed hints can be found in our Terms
and Conditions or
in the license conditions attached to each software program.
Information about the
RAILROAD & CO. CD ROM:
The CD ROM contains all programs and manuals listed in the download section. The versions of all items
contained on the CD and provided for download are identical.
The CD ROM can be ordered as a separate item, too, i.e. it is also
possible to purchase the CD ROM prior or after purchase of a license of
our software.
The CD ROM can be purchased additionally to or instead of downloading
our software from the Internet. This is useful for backup purposes or
if you want to install our products on a computer, that is not
connected to the Internet.
