Since the beginning of the year we have been receiving reports from users who are unable to activate TrainController over the Internet. The message "License Validation on the Internet failed." is displayed.
This affects users who use the virus scanner F-Secure or products based on it (e.g. WISO).
The cause is apparently an incorrect blocking of our server by the virus scanner.
In this context we refer to our information on the
System Requirements (section "Coexistence with programs from other manufacturers").
The use of TrainController together with such virus scanners is without warranty and at your own risk.
Therefore, the only serious recommendation we can give is to no longer use such "troublemakers" from third-party providers together with our software.
We recommend to use Microsoft's own virus scanners. These are free, fit very well into the Windows system environment and work very well.
If you still want to use another virus scanner, you use TrainController at your own risk. We cannot offer support or technical advice in this case. For further problem solving, we recommend that you consult the virus scanner documentation or contact the virus scanner's customer service.
